Reading about FanVue on Trustpilot is rather sad. There are more negative reviews than positive.

First thing we did was to analyze these reviews and in order to do this correctly we need to check which reviews are legit and which are fake.

It is all about psychology. Meaning we need to read what is NOT written. Or as some call it: Read between the lines.

To do this we use an old profiler technique called “The Sales Man”.

We analyze the reviews to find ‘overselling’ and ‘under selling’ and we find the motives behind the reviews.

The first thing we notice is 43% 5 star reviews, 56% negative reviews and 1% in the middle.

‘Neutral’ Reviews

The 1% is only one review that ends with the user stating they would not come back. So in reality a negative review.

Negative Reviews

Reading the 56% negative reviews pretty much states the same. When people try to contact support the chat and their accounts are shut down!

Just like that!

In some cases users also lose quite a lot of money. From a legal point of view it is not possible to hold back the money users have made without having been subpoenaed to do so.

This means that FanVue STEAL money and if a user decides to pursue this in a court of law, FanVue would be the ones shitting their pants. It is illegal. But they do it any way.

It is safe to conclude that there is nothing between the lines in the negative reviews. Most of them are sincerely angry. Which shows!

Positive Reviews

This is where it gets exciting. There are a lot of over selling statements in the positive reviews. There is a few that clearly is OK. One of them is not a creator. Only a fan. So it doesn’t really count seen from a creators problematic experience. And another one that definitely is genuine. It is neither over selling nor underselling, but mentions two things on the wish list. It could be a strategic review but the text is too short to fully conclude.

Another review is used as a promotion for FanVue. The reviewer has put a discount code in the review, meaning the purpose of the review is to make money. This means the content of the review has the character of selling and in this case we call it Over Selling meaning the content of the review is too positive.

The rest of the positive reviews are also Over Selling. Because the reviewers are either top notch or rock bottom there is a huge gap between the positive and the negative reviews. This is a huge warning!

In short it means that somebody posted a lot of positive reviews to counter weigh the negative reviews! This fact is even further supported by the highly and unnatural praising the positive reviews use.

FanVues response to reviews is ONLY a copy paste answer asking people to contact support. BUT those crocks know at this point that people who wrote the negative reviews LOST the ability to use the chat! And without the chat there is NO way to contact them. No email. No phone. No nothing! So the purpose of this standard reply is to hold up a facade of customer interest. But having in mind they KNOW people can’t contact them makes them liars! And lately they stopped completely responding to people.

There is only one explanation. They do NOT care about customers! At least not small customers.

Overselling

Over selling is when you praise something. Consider this: If something looks to be too good to be true it probably is! Besides, FanVue is a script downloaded from GitHub and several other platforms use the exact same script! This means the ONLY thing that separates these platforms are customer support.

Why would a reviewer say:

“I heard so many great things from other models and those using ai also so had to give it a go!” – No you probably did not! Why should you be in contact with other models. That is extremely rare.

“Heard many great things and wasn’t disappointed!” – Heard form who? There is NOTHING on the net. And you deffo do not have friends using FanVue. And the positive comments you can’t find ANYTHING on Instagram – which would be the obvious place to look. And using Google will only show you biased affilliate reviews who never tried it for real and some articles written by a few insiders.

“Fanvue is such a reliable platform for creators! I think it’s clear that they listen to their user feedback unlike some other site” – Many would disagree!

“Fanvue is great option as an alternative to OnlyFans” – No it’s not. The support on OnlyFans actually works! And they are also hosting AI accounts!

“Seeing quite a few negative comments and as I enjoy the platform and experience with them I thought I’d give my view.” – Why on earth would you start a positive review like this?  Defending FanVue?

“I was shocked when a founding member reached out to welcome me and provided me with a 24 hour support contact.” – Why the heck would a founding member do this? And at the same time leave other accounts in the dust?

“Every single problem is fixed instantly.” – No it is definitely not!

All positive reviews except 4 is made by people that haven’t made any other reviews on Trust Pilot! That is not exactly trust worthy. This is a clear sign of fraud! These reviews are FAKE!

Why would you defend FanVue:

“I’m genuinely surprised to see some negative reviews”

“I don’t know why people say it’s a scam.”

“Seeing quite a few negative comments and as I enjoy the platform and experience with them I thought I’d give my view.”

“I’m genuinely surprised to see some negative reviews about payout issues.”

“I don’t understand any of these negative reviews!”

Why would people even comment on other peoples negative reviews? This indicate that something fishy is going on. Over selling and a lot of bias. They are written by insiders!

Our experience

Of course we tried it ourselves. We had to!

The signup process wasn’t quite easy. We kept being rejected because of ‘blurry’ photos. But they weren’t blurry. We tried four times before we succeeded in signing up as a creator.

It didn’t take long to drive the first customers to FanVue.

We had some sales but one of the payments didn’t clear. They have a 7 day turn around on payments and after this you can request pay out.

Naturally we contacted support using the chat. The nice lady had to escalate the non clearing payment to the support team which could take up to 72 hours.

Three days went by and nothing happened. We waited a few more days to b certain. But still no answer.

Back to the chat and we asked nicely if we could get an answer as the 72 hours had passed.

That is when it happened.

The chat got shut down. Totally.

And the help pages disappeared.

And it wasn’t possible any longer to set up products.

We can still login and still see the payment that didn’t clear. But we can’t do anything. Not even contacting them.

This is precisely the issue the negative reviews on Trust Pilot is about!

I would say CLEARLY: STAY AWAY FROM FANVUE! I don’t know if they are scammers but this kind of behaviour certainly adds momentum to that idea!

There is NO way to contact them. Comments are shut down on Instagram and Twitter. There are NO contact mails any where and no phone numbers. At this point you are fucked!

FanVue’s Followers on Instagram

This is where the story becomes sad. We are professional scam fighters. This means we easily are able to look through the obvious.

FanVue has 122,000 followers on Instagram.

Analyzing these accounts reveals that FanVue has BOUGHT at least 100,000 of these followers. More likely somewhere around 120,000!

There are several FanVue Promotion accounts on Instagram

One with 8,000 followers where 98% of those are bought.

Another with 229,000 with 98% bought followers.

One with 19,000 with 99% bought followers.

One with 10,000 with 99% bought followers

It is impossible to see which one is the real FanVue account so I suspect they ALL are created by FanVue.

But no factor! They all have a following of nearly 100% FAKE, dead and bought accounts.

What does this say about FanVue?

I can answer that question. They will use any means necessary to make money. Even fraudulent means!
