Introduction: TikTok’s AI Moderation – A Masterclass in Digital Idiocy

Ah, TikTok. The social media juggernaut that prides itself on innovation, creativity, and, of course, its cutting-edge AI-driven content moderation—an artificial intelligence so artificially intelligent that it rivals a lobotomized goldfish in decision-making. The platform’s relentless quest to provide a “safe” environment has inadvertently transformed it into a dystopian wasteland where users are banned for the most asinine, laughable, and downright mind-numbing reasons.

If you’ve ever dared to express yourself on TikTok, chances are you’ve come face-to-face with its stunningly incompetent moderation system. Welcome to a world where emojis are criminal, sarcasm is heresy, and discussing history makes you a threat to society. Let’s take a deep dive into this circus of absurdity, shall we?

The Dumbest Reasons People Get Banned: A Hall of Fame for Digital Stupidity

If you think AI moderation means logical decision-making, prepare to be disappointed. TikTok’s automated content policing is less of a “moderation system” and more of an arbitrary ban generator with all the accuracy of a dart-throwing monkey. Here are some of the most egregiously idiotic reasons people have been exiled from the platform:

  • Emoji Crimes: The Forbidden Fruit of the Digital World
Did you think using a peach or eggplant emoji was innocent? Foolish mortal! On TikTok, these are not just symbols; they are weapons of mass destruction in the war against morality. Who knew that harmless emojis could summon the AI watchdogs faster than an actual violation of the law? Meanwhile, actual explicit content sometimes roams free because, well, TikTok’s AI is clearly too busy censoring fruits and vegetables.
  • Sarcasm and Irony: AI’s Greatest Weakness
Attempted to make a joke? Too bad. TikTok’s AI, which has the wit of a wet sponge, doesn’t grasp humor, irony, or satire. You might sarcastically say, “Oh yeah, banning users for no reason is SUCH a great idea!” and boom—you’re flagged for “promoting misinformation.” Imagine a system so dumb it thinks nuanced communication is an existential threat.
  • Historical Discussions: Because Education Is Dangerous
Have the audacity to educate people on historical events? Congratulations, you might just get flagged for “promoting dangerous organizations.” Because obviously, talking about World War II means you’re personally leading an extremist group. Who needs history books when we have AI overlords deciding which knowledge is acceptable?
  • Artistic Expression: The Newest Crime Against Humanity
So you uploaded a painting, a dance performance, or any form of artistic content? Huge mistake. If your artwork remotely resembles the human form, TikTok’s algorithm will brand you a digital degenerate and take down your content faster than you can say “censorship.” This applies even if what you’re doing is tamer than a Disney movie.
  • Banned for Nothing: A Special Kind of Madness
You posted nothing. You violated no rules. You existed. And for that, you were banned. Because why not? It seems TikTok’s AI moderation occasionally wakes up and chooses chaos, banning users simply for daring to breathe in the general direction of the platform.
  • IP Ban: Collateral Damage at Its Finest
TikTok’s idea of justice? Punishing entire apartment buildings for one person’s mistake. The platform employs IP bans, meaning if one user in a shared network triggers the almighty AI’s wrath, everyone nearby gets the boot. You could be minding your own business, only to find yourself exiled from TikTok because your neighbor’s cousin posted something “questionable.”

Until now I thought Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest was the absolute lowest rock bottom shit moderated platform in the world. But TikTok is worse. Far worse!

We have examples of support dialogues that lasts for half a year where they only return canned mails, asking for the same things over and over and over and over… It’s like previous DM’s deosen’t exist in their world. Or they have a memory like someone with advanced dementia. They are masters in stalling a support case for months. Their intention is not to answer requests. It is to make people give up. Actually FORCE people to give up.

It is an  INCREDIBLY waste of time trying to get any answer from them! TikTok support could watch a house burn down and still manage to send a ‘we’re looking into it’ email six months later.

Totally mistargeted TokTok take down.

This is a video that was taken down on TikTok for violating TikTok’s guidelines on Adult Content. It is a video with a still image.

The video was placed ‘Under Review’ for several months and nothing happened and nobody knew what was wrong. But then we got a notification and was able to appeal. Two days after the appeal we got this:

The NAZI salute which was NEVER a NAZI salute!

I posted this video with a text explaining that Elons Nazi salut was NOT a Nazi salute but taken out of context.

But Tik Tok’s retarded AI took down the video and said they gave my account a warning.  Three months fighting with their socalled support system ended in NOTHING! I talked to simple retards that had absolutely no intention of helping me. Then I took a few months off and then I sent another support ticket trying to resume the case. Five minutes later my entire support history was deleted! It is EMPTY!

And every time I try to file another ticket – guess what! It is DELETED!! To this day I cannot file a ticket!!!

MOTHERFUCKING INCOMPETENT MORONS!!!!

Trying to defend FREE SPEECH on a NON FREE SPEECH PLATFORM is futile!!!

A search on TikTok brought up quite a lot of posts with this video but reading through them I noticed they ALL avoided the word NAZI. So I made a search including the NAZI word and those INCREDIBLY DUMB motherfuckers relplied:

“This phrase may be associated with behavior or content that violates our guidelines. Promoting a safe and positive experience is TikTok’s top priority. For more information, we invite you to review our Community Guidelines.”

This tells me that the system they use is the cheapest and most simple system in the world. They have a blacklist with words that are banned and ABSOLUTELY NO intelligence behind it!!!

It also means you CAN NOT USE A NEGATIVE WORD IN A POSITIVE CONTEXT!!!

There are sooooo many words that trigger TikTok’s ban hammer. Including names and words that obviously has nothing harmful in them. But they hire underpaid low IQ chinese workers and, probably use Google translate and gets everything wrong. My advice:

Post your videos without any text at all!

Sorry TIK TOK but you are the dumbest idiots on the entire planet! I REALLY mean that!! No wonder moderation on this crappy platform stinks so incredibly bad!

Suspension of TikTok accounts

This is what happens when bad AI reviews bad AI. One might argue the link is questionable but reading their guide lines it is not.

TikTok is a bad joke. And TikTik moderation is worse.

Suspended tiktok

My first account on TikTok was taken down 3 seconds after I created it. They never gave an explanation – because support, as you probably know is non existent.

This is unfortunately a very common message. No explanation. No Nothing! And MULTIPLE violations…???

They are friggin insane! Multiple violations just by creating an account??? Fucking fantastic!!

So I waited a few days and tried again with another email of course. Shut down again! They don’t like me.

But this time I was able to appeal and I got the account back the day after. We do this a lot. And we pretty much always get the accounts back. Only to show how stinking bad their Stone Age AI really is. Mistake after mistake after mistake.

I have been in software development for years and the ONLY explanation is they won’t pay skilled people to create robust systems!

This is a cover up for being greedy. I fckn HATE greedy people. And I hate corporate greed even more.

Why AI Moderation Is About as Reliable as a Magic 8-Ball

TikTok’s undying faith in AI moderation is as wise as giving a toddler a flamethrower and expecting them to regulate a fireworks show. This marvel of technology scans for keywords, visual patterns, and, presumably, bad vibes, but it lacks even the most basic understanding of context, nuance, and common sense.

For example, if a creator sarcastically criticizes hate speech, the AI might just categorize it as “actual hate speech” and delete it. Meanwhile, actual offensive content often survives because the system is too busy flagging someone’s joke about pineapples. The reliance on an incompetent AI ensures that TikTok remains a platform of frustration, confusion, and arbitrary punishments.

TikTok’s Medieval Approach to Content Moderation: Ban First, Ask Questions Never

TikTok doesn’t moderate. TikTok punishes. And it does so with all the grace and wisdom of a medieval witch trial.

  • Immediate Bans Without Explanation
Users often attempt log in to find their accounts suspended with no warning, no explanation, and no chance to rectify the alleged violation. Imagine a legal system where you’re sentenced to life in prison without being told what crime you committed. That’s TikTok’s version of “justice.”
  • Content Removal by Vague Guidelines
“Your content violates community guidelines.” Which guideline? TikTok won’t say. Was it offensive? Inappropriate? Did a moderator just not like your face? Who knows! Their guidelines are so vague they might as well be written in ancient Sumerian.

The Broken Appeal System: Like Yelling at a Wall, but Less Productive

Think you can appeal your unjust ban? Adorable. TikTok’s appeal system is as useful as a screen door on a submarine. You submit an appeal, only to receive a generic response reaffirming your ban. And guess what? The same defective AI that flagged your content in the first place often “reviews” the appeal. Shocking that it rarely reverses itself, right?

If you miraculously get your content restored, congratulations—you’ve won an uphill battle against an algorithm that barely functions. However, many users never see justice because TikTok’s human support is about as accessible as a lost city in the Amazon rainforest.

Double Standards and the Customer Service Black Hole

TikTok parades around words like “community” and “connection,” but when it comes to addressing user complaints, they vanish like a magician’s rabbit. Their automated customer service replies are as useful as sending a letter to Santa Claus—except Santa at least pretends to listen.

Worse, users often get banned for things that aren’t even in TikTok’s official guidelines. Ever used an emoji? Too suggestive. Mentioned a controversial topic? Gone. Dared to criticize TikTok itself? Poof! Meanwhile, high-profile creators seemingly get away with things that regular users would be executed for. Because fairness isn’t a thing here.

Conclusion: TikTok’s Moderation System is an Insult to Human Intelligence

If TikTok’s AI moderation were a person, it would be the village idiot—loud, confident, and completely useless. Instead of fostering a space for creativity and free expression, the platform has created an authoritarian nightmare where the punishment is random, the rules are nonsensical, and the AI is about as intelligent as a damp sock.

If TikTok wants to maintain its dominance, it needs to overhaul its moderation policies, introduce actual human oversight, and start treating its users like thinking beings rather than potential criminals. Until then, welcome to TikTok—the only place where discussing history is “dangerous,” but an algorithm ruling your digital life with unchecked power is somehow totally fine.

Artificial Intelligence at TikTok is very similar to Natural Stupidity!
